Hi, I’m Quilby.

I’m an artist, pianist, musician and piano teacher. After 18 years of working towards becoming a classical pianist and academic, it became clear that I needed a career change. The shift from music to art felt natural to me as I enjoy drawing, painting and bullet journaling.

My current body of work mainly consists of illuminated letters. I am inspired by medieval manuscripts, particularly those created in the 14th, through 16th centuries in the gothic style. My letters originated as greeting cards for friends and family which I have now developed into artworks. I also enjoy painting landscapes, nature and patterns.
